Sushi Kanesaka at 45 Park Lane

Sushi in London often comes with high expectations, especially when the price reflects it. While everything was undeniably well made and delicious, it didn’t quite deliver the level of emotional impact I had hoped for.🍣 I could clearly see the care, skill, and delicacy in the craftsmanship, and there was not a single dish that wasn’t good. Still, I found myself wishing for something beyond “excellent”a moment of surprise or a deeper sense of excitement that lingered. The opening chawanmushi was slightly overcooked, which took me out of the experience for a moment. On the other hand, the Kobe beef was beautifully cooked and deeply satisfying, and the ikura marinated in dashi was outstanding. The oshiruko was especially comforting and left a warm, lasting impression. The alcohol pairing was a highlight throughout the meal. Every glass was thoughtfully chosen, and each one was genuinely enjoyable, elevating the overall experience.👏
