Love the heavy wooden door. Also, the elegant stairway. The interior and views of this place are stunning. The food for brunch was also excellent. Smashing omelette with black truffles, pungent yet delicate; and the flavour and texture to the buckwheat pancakes were amazing. The croissant was also sheer perfection, better than some I've had in Paris, with heavenly accompanying compote and jams. As for service by front of house, well, unfortunately that's a different matter. Despite the smart navy blue suits, staff seem a bit cold, pretentious, and amateurish. One gentleman with an Italian accent doesn't seem like he wanted to be there. And do you know the difference between a piccolo, machiato, and espresso? Well, apparently, the service staff at Hide doesn't. They screwed up my order twice, wasting yirgacheffe Ethiopian coffee. A pain au chocholat also appeared at our table, which we didn't order. Utterly dissapointing for a one michellin star restaurant. But, no matter, we still loved the food. And the stairs.
