We booked this restaurant based on its Michelin and TripAdvisor recommendations, hoping for a special birthday celebration. Unfortunately, the experience fell completely flat. We were struck by how quiet it was—only one other table was occupied. The "birthday surprise" did little to lift the mood, feeling rushed with no candle, atmosphere, or even a name on the plate. The food was a letdown. Excessive saltiness dominated every dish, masking the natural flavors and creating a disjointed, even bitter, experience. Service was mixed. While staff were attentive in some ways, we were unpleasantly surprised to find a charge for the cheese plate we weren't clearly told was an add-on. By the end of the night, the mystery of the empty dining room was solved. Our experience perfectly explained the lack of crowd. It's clear why this place isn't busier. We won't be returning.
