The Flintlock at Cheddleton

My wife and I have spent two weeks of our vacation in the UK, visiting some of the best Gastropubs from the Estrella Damm list(2023 version). We ate at the Flintlock, Cheddleton on Friday night, as we are fans of Thom Bateman’s instagram cooking videos. While we have had some magnificent meals (and experiences) at the listed places (we have eaten at the top three on the 2023 list), we are bemused that the Flintlock is not featured on the top restaurant rankings. Our meal was everything that we had hoped for. The restaurant itself was great, the staff were very warm and welcoming and to top it all the food was exceptional. We hope to see the Flintlock on future “top gastropub” lists, as the food was, in our opinion, every bit as good, if not better than the three establishments listed in the 2023 top three. It’s a little out of the way - about 7 miles from Stoke on Trent, however it was definitely worth the visit. Try it - you will not be disappointed
