The Pack Horse restaurant reviews

Average rating: 4.5
We had a great time here thanks to the great friendly service from all the team (Jem was a star!). The food is absolutely delicious too.
Firstly, we called in for an afternoon drink and soon got talking to the friendly locals. There is a great selection of real ales and a good wine list.
We returned for dinner that evening and had some of the best food we have had for ages.
We shared a Manchester egg which was a revelation - hot and crispy with a runny pickled egg covered in black pudding. Outstanding!
The starters were equally as good - tender beetroot with goats cheese and pesto and Norwegian trout with salad and orange.
For mains, I had the cod and cuttlefish in a bean broth and my partner had the pork schnitzel which again were first class. The mash was the best we’ve had and the side of roasted sprouts with nduja sauce was extremely moreish.
Desserts were fantastic too.
This place is well worth a visit and we will be back!!
