Gauthier Soho restaurant reviews

Average rating: 4.6
Worth the hype. Excellent food and service, with great attention to detail. There is a lot of work put in every single plate and you don't come out of there hungry (but not feeling like you overate either) so the price feels warranted. I was very impressed with the braised chicory and artichoke, which is not something I usually love but which was impeccable there. The only thing my companion and I didn't like was the coconut 'blue cheese (and dairy blue cheese is his favourite so it's not a 'strong taste' issue). I thought it was an interesting idea and an audacious attempt but it really ended up tasting like moldy coconut and soap. The pâte de fruit given after the meal is the best one I've ever had.
