Barshu restaurant reviews

Average rating: 4.2
This restaurant is located near Chinatown and has been listed in the Michelin Guide for over 20 consecutive years, which is well deserved.
We ordered the Chinese New Year set menu for two, which allows you to choose two small dishes and one main dish. The value for money is excellent.
The salt and pepper pork ribs were crispy on the outside and tender inside, full of flavour with spring onions, garlic and chilli.
The grilled fish was pre-fried, soaked up the sauce beautifully, and very satisfying. Although it’s a Sichuan-style restaurant, the dishes were surprisingly mild and suitable for most palates.
The interior and overall dining environment are noticeably better than many Chinese restaurants in London. Service was attentive and friendly throughout the meal.
The average spend was just over £20 per person, with generous portions that left us completely full.
Overall, this is a rare find in London for high-quality Chinese food with great service and a comfortable atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit.
