The Shore in Penzance: A total work of art!
What Bruce, the creator, host, chef, server, and entertainer, presents in a one-man show truly amounts to gastronomic art.
Currently decorated in a dark, Japanese style, the multi-course tasting menu features ingredients sourced locally and/or from the restaurant's own garden. Excellent, very sensually prepared dishes—just think of the Porthilly Oyster or the Lemon Sole—a very nice, complementary wine list, and, of course, the host, Bruce, who is responsible for absolutely everything from A to Z at The Shore: a friendly welcome, original, passionately presented information about the menu, excellently prepared dishes, and completely relaxed, unpretentious service—chapeau!
Definitely not a "normal" restaurant, but all in all, a culinary work of art highly recommended for gourmet lovers! We really enjoyed it.
