The Marquis of Granby restaurant reviews

Average rating: 4.5
I came here for the first time about a month ago for a birthday lunch outing with my family. As it was a Sunday, all of the party, except myself, indulged with the restaurant's famous Sunday roast option. I, however, went for something different and chose a seafood pasta dish which was beyond delicious; the crab, chilli and smoked trout bucatini with toasted hazelnuts.
It was one of the most moreish and memorable dishes I've ever enjoyed in a restaurant; and I've been to many in my years. The topping of toasted hazelnuts was a playful and creative touch to the pasta in adding some extra depth of flavour, as well as some contrast in texture.
My family enjoyed their Sunday roast lunches (I believe all three had one of each of the roast meat options from the menu), and they all raved about the quality during and after! The interior decor and atmosphere were both enjoyable and added well to the overall experience of the lunch.
I would personally be more than happy to return to this restaurant just to taste that beautiful seafood pasta dish once more! Or maybe twice...
