No.3 The Yard

Oh dear, not a pleasant Mother's Day lunch at all and all the more disappointing as we have eaten a decent lunch here before. Slow, chaotic kitchen service, giant rubbery, eggy Yorkshire puddings, barely cooked carrots, thin tasteless gravy which some of our party had so much of it drowned the meat while others had a spoonful of (what's wrong with putting it in a gravy boat?), cauliflower cheese that was actually chunks dunked in a watery, not very cheesey sauce, a much too bouncy panna cotta. I could go on but you get the idea. The one redeeming aspect was our waitress who was cheerful, helpful and apologetic but obviously struggling to cover for the chaos in the kitchen. And to cap it all, while waiting (25+ minutes in total) for desserts we were asked to vacate the table as we had outstayed our alloted time!
