Kai Mayfair restaurant reviews

Average rating: 4.4
I had high expectations for this place, but sadly, I left feeling underwhelmed. The service was genuinely wonderful — a warm welcome and a super helpful, attentive team. They, along with the beautiful decor, are what make this venue special.
However, it IS a restaurant, and the food should be the star. Unfortunately, that's where it fell short. Everything was just... nice. Average. Not a single standout dish. For a place offering afternoon tea, I was surprised that there was only one round of extra savoury items — a first for me. Even more disappointing was that only about half of the tea selection was included; the rest came at an extra cost. The clue is in the name - afternoon TEA. surely all tea should be included!?
You won't have a bad time here — I’m sure of that. But you may leave feeling a little hungry and a lot of disappointment. I won’t be returning.
