The Kings Arms

The Kings Arms restaurant reviews

Average rating: 4.4
What a fantastic little pub. It’s not immediately obvious where the entrance is as it doesn’t shout about itself, but push the old door open and you’re greeted by one of the cosiest pubs in the area.
There’s a large fireplace with a couple of comfy armchairs, perfect for drying off after the rain, and plenty of tucked-away seating in the corners. The restaurant area loses a little of the old-pub charm with its more modern feel and carpeted floor, but it’s still a pleasant space to dine.
They also have a lovely beer garden which will be great in the warmer months. When we visited it seemed to be a popular spot for dog walkers, which adds to the relaxed, local feel.
We stopped in for a light lunch and the menu offers a good selection. I had the small fish and chips and a panini, both of which hit the spot.
Wholeheartedly recommend and already looking forward to my next visit.
