Wow wow wow!!! What an absolutely magical experience we had last night here!! We were the first customers to arrive just before 7pm and were welcomed by a friendly face! We were taken to our table and just soaked up the atmosphere as the team were getting ready for service. It’s an intimate restaurant of 6 tables, all simply decorated with a vase of dried flowers and a simple lamp. We were shown the drinks menu from an iPad and proceeded to go for the Soft drinks pairing (£55). We have frequented a number of Michelin restaurants and always choose the drinks pairing. The first canapés arrived and the chef serves the dish with an explanation of ingredients and how it’s cooked. Each mouthful is an explosion on flavours! All very well balanced with a depth of flavour! The beetroot canapés had the ingredients dancing in my tongue!! Each course that arrived was met with excitement, alongside a beautifully curated drinks pairing. We didn’t have a menu, so it was a surprise what the next course would be!! The speed between each dish was perfect and it allowed us to talk about the flavours and enjoy each drink. Each chef and the sommelier that came to our table to serve us was passionate about the ingredients they put together! We loved every drinks pairing!! It was the perfect balance for each dish! It’s not the same drinking on its own, but once you’ve had a mouthful of the dish, then sipped the drink then wow, how it truly compliments each other! We came away feeling amazing!! We didn’t want the whole experience to end! Highly recommend a visit! We travelled 100 miles for the meal and it was so worth it!! Well done to the whole team, you truly deserve your Michelin star! 🌟
