Really impressed with Cook House. Didn't realise it is on our doorstep. Took a late lunch booking and was greeted by very friendly staff at the lovely Ouseburn restaurant. I went a bit off piste with a mixture of vegetarian and meaty options from the a la carte menu. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the food, wine and calmness despite strictly adhering to covid safety measures. Excellent staff, with the right amount of attention given to guests throughout the meal. As Arnie once said 'I'll be back'.
