Restaurant Jericho

Jericho, place in the middle of nowhere, is a hidden gem and it has plenty to offer. You're welcome by beautiful garden that is a source of ingredients for the meals. The place has great rustic vibe, it still feels cosy, especially on gloomy days. The food was presented beautifully and meticulously, with an idea of modern cuisine based on very local products. As the staff explained to me, every day in the morning they check what in the garden is ripe enough to cook meals for later. Which is a great idea. The place offers a great selection of fine wines and drinks. Most of the meals I tasted were very pleasant but sadly there were a few that were only OKish... There was no consistency in it which was disappointing. For the price of the meal, I expect the whole culinary experience would be on the same level. And comparing to other places this standard, Jericho is left behind... I also exptect the food to be served with some description or explanation of what's on the plate or how it was cooked. The staff were very nice and professional, they asked about feedback after the meal. They were also happy to advise on wine and other drinks. I left with mixed feelings, despite the place is cosy and has great atmosphere, the staff made me welcome, the food overall was nice I missed the quality and taste inconsistency hence I'm giving only 4 stars...
