Brilliant place to stay. The room we had was at the back of the hotel. It was clean, with a nice bathroom (including a bath!) There was a well stocked tea tray and even a decanter of sherry!! If staying for multiple nights you do need to ask to have your room serviced. My only issue with the room was the lighting. It was very dim so you couldn't read easily. Breakfast was great. Lots of choice and hot food cooked to order. Separately we had a meal in the bar in the evening. I had gnocchi which was delicious. The sticky creme brulee was delicious too. Special mention to Henry on reception who provided a lovely warm welcome.
