Knock out tasting menu! What a delight to spend a couple of hours dining here with Nick' great hosting and good humour. Novel not seeing the menu in advance, so it's a total surprise when he arrived with each delicious dish. A couple of kir royales to commence and a beautifully light, smooth beaujolais to accompany our meal (2 meat eaters and one pescatarian). The sourdough mini loaves were freshly baked, light as a feather and totally moreish, especially with salted butter! (A slightly sticky sweet topping...I could have eaten 10!). It's a wonderful restaurant, tables perfectly spaced, beautifully laid with fresh white linen and sparkling crockery and cutlery. Cosy and warm, immaculate washroom and an absolute pleasure to enjoy the entire experience. Henne easily stands shoulder to shoulder with Adams and The Wilderness in Birmingham. We couldn't identify anything we would change, it was absolutely perfect in every way. Definitely take the cheese course too with some delicious Fonseca port. Thank you both, we shall return!
