Galvin La Chapelle restaurant reviews

Average rating: 4.6
Celebrated an anniversary with a lunch on Easter Sunday (first Michelin star experience). Food was lovely and it was great to enjoy it in a lovely, ambient setting. However, this was let down by the attitude of the Sommelier who my partner and I felt judged by as soon as we mentioned we preferred a carafe of wine on the set menu rather than a bottle. Credit to the other waitresses who were great!
EDIT:
I was unexpectedly called up by a gentleman called 'Rocco' who talked through the issue I raised, and kindly explained the solution. I've increased my rating to 5* and hope to re-visit. One of the conditions of revisiting was receiving an enjoyable experience, so Rocco has surely ensured this overall, even if this is after the dining experience itself - thank you!
