Dinnington Docks

The overall quality of the food was very good BUT there was much confusion and misinformation about - what was missing from the menu and handling gluten free orders. As a result One meal had to be returned The gluten free bun for a burger failed to materialise There were only 3 out of 6 cheeses available which were all cows, despite being told all the cheeses were available and only 1 of the 3 sorbets. Also the small fish and chips was VERY small. I had a very disappointing Father’s Day meal, considering the number of difficulties I was also surprised no compensation was offered. Update: The response below shows a lack of knowledge of the conversations held on the day. An apology instead of being defensive and blaming the customer might win you more repeat orders! Clearly the junior staff were trying their best but without information were having to refer to the chef. Information was however given by a woman who appeared be a manager at the point of ordering: 1. burger with a gluten free bap (no bap arrived) 2. the other gluten free option was presented with a Yorkshire pudding (and glutinous gravy?). They were mistakes - someone in the kitchen team missing that it was a gluten free option and the manager thinking that they had gluten free baps. Regarding the non cows cheese, they had not been available for some while, so why leave them on the menu, leading junior staff to believe they were in stock.
