Ardtara Country House

I stayed at Ardtara House with my wife and another couple, and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish. A huge part of what made the night so memorable was Shaun and Leanne, who were fantastic hosts — warm, attentive and genuinely lovely. They really added something special to the whole experience. We chose the tasting menu with the wine pairing, and honestly, it was spectacular. Quite possibly the best tasting menu I’ve ever had. Each course was full of flavour and beautifully presented, and the wine pairings elevated everything even further. The setting itself is incredibly romantic and peaceful. It feels less like a hotel and more like you’ve been welcomed into someone’s beautiful country home. That atmosphere made the whole evening feel intimate and relaxed, exactly what we were hoping for. All four of us agreed: amazing food, wonderful hosts and a stunning setting. It couldn’t have been better. I’d go back in a heartbeat.
