British-born Jason Atherton, esteemed for his culinary brilliance the world over, boasts of a pedigree steeped in haute cuisine, but his tale begins on a more modest note. Having grown up in the humble setting of Skegness, Lincolnshire, Atherton showed early signs of his gastronomic genius when he began working in a local hotel kitchen at the tender age of 16. His gastronomic journey nurtured under the tutelage of illustrious chefs such as Pierre Koffmann, Nico Ladenis and Ferran Adria. Yet it was whilst under the discerning eye of Gordon Ramsay, where Atherton honed his expertise for a decade, that he truly began to flourish. Helping to propel the restaurant 'Maze' to worldwide acclaim, he left Ramsay to chart his own path in 2010. Establishing his flagship restaurant 'Pollen Street Social' in Mayfair, London, he quickly acquired a Michelin star within six months. Known for his inventive and exquisitely crafted dishes, Atherton now runs a global empire of 17 restaurants, each echoing his signature 'deformalised' fine dining. His culinary prowess is not limited to the kitchen, however; viewers all across the UK have become well-acquainted with his genial personality and culinary prowess through appearances on shows such as 'Great British Menu', 'Saturday Kitchen' and 'My Kitchen Rules UK' which helped solidify his celebrity status.
