The Wine House

Nice meal, awful cocktails and a bad ending. We have been here to the bottomless lunch 3 times to celebrate with work colleagues and cannot fault the food. The waitresses are lovely and attentive but the cocktails are undrinkable, sweet syrupy and unrecognisable as cocktails apart from a straw. In addition the Prosecco was warm until we complained. I wouldn't really mind any of that as the price is reasonable and the ambience good but at the end it was like being treated like cattle. I had my credit card and bill in my hand all ready to pay at the table only to be told to move away from the table as our 2 hours were up and go and pay at the bar. By this time the bar area was rammed and the bar staff were all preparing lovely looking cocktails for evening guests. I waited for 15 minutes to pay the bill in sweltering conditions and then got back to the office to a voice mail accusing us of leaving without paying! Anyway, won't be going back to the bottomless lunch again as would rather pay extra for decent drinks.
