The Millbrook Inn

Whilst we live an hour's drive away in Torquay, it's always worth the journey to visit this proper locals' village pub deep in the glorious Devon countryside and in probably one of the prettiest villages in Devon. Featured in the Good Pub Guide, Alastair Sawday pub guide, Michelin Eating Out Guide, amongst others. A recent Daily Mail article for best Sunday roast and a review by the Daily Telegraph's restaurant critic, William Sitwell. Lovely young crew, supported by head waiter, Joe, who went the extra mile and came to our rescue when we were allocated a table next to a family with three "active" kids. We decided to leave but as we drove away Joe chased us as he said a table had become available in the cosy and doggy friendly bar area. Marvellous.
