The Hardwick

The Hardwick restaurant reviews

Average rating: 4.4
Pretentious and expensive. The refusal to provide the two of us with a menu each put us off from the start, apparently the chef thinks giving out two printed bits of thin A4 paper per table is too extravagant. While appreciating the small margins restaurants work to, this did made us wonder what other extreme cost-cutting is done. Food OK, but a risotto is a creamy rice dish made with stock, not a small fried fritter with a bit of rice in, tasting - in my opinion - vaguely of tomato ketchup, which is what my order of risotto turned out to be. We shall not go back.
