I recently had the absolute pleasure of dining at the The Greyhound, and it’s safe to say this place is nothing short of a gem in Beaconsfield. Run by Dan and his lovely partner, the restaurant delivers an experience that feels both personal and exceptional from the moment you walk in. From the very start, we were blown away. The bread with honey butter—honestly, unforgettable. Simple in concept, but executed to perfection, it set the tone for everything that followed. The scallops were exquisite—perfectly cooked, beautifully presented, and with flavours that were so well balanced they felt effortless. Every bite was a reminder of just how refined and thoughtful the cooking is here. For mains, both the fish and the pork were equally outstanding. Each dish was presented with real elegance, but more importantly, the flavours were exceptional—layered, precise, and deeply satisfying. It’s rare to find a kitchen where every course hits such a high note. And then came the dessert—the banana soufflé with banana bread ice cream. Wow. Truly something special. Light, indulgent, and completely unique, it’s the kind of dish that lingers in your memory long after the meal is over. The service throughout was second to none—warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, which only adds to the charm of the whole experience. To top it all off, there’s even more to be excited about with a new bistro opening nearby from the same team. If it’s anything like The Greyhound, it’s going to be incredible. All in all, this is a standout dining experience—refined yet heartfelt, and without a doubt one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. A true Beaconsfield treasure.
