I travel a lot and often end up in those corporate, one size fits all, type hotels. The George and Dragon came as a wonderful breath of fresh air. It’s a beautiful 16th century building just bursting with character as is the owner “ Chippy “ who really genuinely seems to take pleasure in knowing you have had a good time and will do anything to make sure you do. The rooms are delightfully quirky as is the bar downstairs, retaining a lot of the building’s original character. Food is lovely, staff are great. I would thoroughly recommend a stay.
