Socius restaurant reviews

Average rating: 4.8
The restaurant is set in a lovely new building, light open & airy inside. There’s an open kitchen area, which was great to watch the chefs in action & I’m sure rewarding for them to see customers enjoying their dishes.
All the waiting staff provided an excellent experience, suitably attentive & very friendly.
All the food we had was simply delicious - it’s a seasonal menu so not difficult to find something to please most people & an excellent choice of non-meat dishes too.
The lunch menu was small dishes, each prepared individually, so it feels like you’re creating your own tasting menu, which we loved.
We couldn’t fault a single thing, relishing each dish. Stand outs for us were the tuna tartare from the drinking snacks section & the grilled cod. However the roasted swede was unbelievably good - we were told it takes an incredible 4 hours to prepare this dish, but let me tell you, it was incredible.
A delicious affogato for dessert with a very fine Pedro Ximenez was the perfect end to a memorable lunch.
Very good experience, we would highly recommend.
