Rocksalt restaurant reviews

Average rating: 4.4
This was our second Christmas Party night visit to Rocksalt as a family. Last year was great so we returned for 2025 but things were not as good this time round. Relative to last year, we felt that more tables had been squeezed in, the menu was more limited (and not accurate to what was served - we're still not sure why cheese would be added to a bourginon especially if cheese isn't mentioned on the menu), the price significantly higher, the portions stingy (we got 6 roast potatoes to share between 4 turkey roast dinners) and the food rushed. I think the speed of bringing the food out also meant the service was less attentive with waiting staff have to rush back and forth with dishes and plates. The band (Dukes of Swing) were still great but with more tables there was less room to dance along. I feel that 3 stars is still a 'good' review which I think is about right, last year was great and this wasn't up to the same standard and not worth the hike in price
