We ended up at Mei Ume on a whim after being let down by the restaurant we were originally booked with. On my birthday of all days! Thankfully Mei Ume had space for the two of us. We went for the set menu and were very impressed. The food was incredible, every course blew us away. I could write a paragraph about every individual dish we ate, but I’ll spare you the details and just tell you, it was perfect. All the staff were lovely and very accommodating, I even had a small birthday treat which was a lovely surprise considering we were walk-ins and the meal hadn’t been planned in advance. We will ABSOLUTELY be back!
