Lascelles Restaurant at The Parsonage Country House Hotel

I really enjoyed stay with my partner at Personage Hotel & Spa. Staff was very nice and helpful, always smiling and friendly. The whole hotel have it vintage vibe, definitely you won't find in the rooms anything modern besides TV. This is why it's so unique, you feel like you've been living in the old days. Location of hotel is amazing hidden in the forest and just 15min car drive to York. Whole hotel management & staff took Covid situation serious and put necessary measures in place. Breakfast was typical (English breakfast, pouched egg, etc) as in the most of the British hotels, not a lot of a choice but at least you were feeling they care for the safety. Rooms were spacious, bed was comfortable, room service was done every day and fresh towels were place in the room. What I was missing sometimes was a small fridge where you could put food or beverage. Bathroom was nice and big, water had good pressure, only thing was that when body cream was finished it wasn't replaced so please do that if some of the items in bathroom will finish. Other thing was that there were no ash trays for people who smokes, there should be at least one in front of each building instead there was only old burned plastic pot near the restaurant. Spa was amazing, pool, jacuzzi & gym I highly recommend this place we could relax and feel free of world outside, shame that sauna & aromatherapy were closed. If you have a car and want to spend nice relaxed holidays also visiting York I really recommend this hotel as a place to stay.
