We brought our parents here from the states for their first visit to Ireland AND as an Xmas present. The food was mostly great - but the service was a bit odd. Not super attentive, but not rude. Mostly the waitresses just seemed aloof or just not happy to be there maybe? That being said - the red headed waitress was lovely and attentive, but she wasn’t the one who was our primary server. 3 out of 4 dishes were served perfectly - but unfortunately the venison was overcooked and even burned when served. BUT when we mentioned that we ordered it medium rare and that the meat was overcooked, they did replace it with no problem. The schnitzel was just okay, a bit overcooked. The gnocchi dish was okay but wasn’t amazing. The vegetables were the star of the menu here - the parsnips were incredible and the cabbage was unreal. The wine recommended was lovely. The bread pudding was UNREAL- highly recommend. Overall - most aspects of the dishes were great, but we certainly expected a bit more hospitality and an overall stellar experience considering this is a Michelin star restaurant.
