Homestead Cottage

We had lunch at the cottage with friends in May 2026, which was booked in advance. From the moment we walked in until we were the last guests to leave, it was an exceptional dining experience . The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Elvira was incredibly attentive and hospitable throughout our visit. We particularly enjoyed chatting with her, which added a personal touch to the experience. It is easy to see why this restaurant has earned its Michelin star despite its rural location. The food was outstanding - every dish was a beautifully presented masterpiece, bursting with flavour and creativity. We also really appreciated the warm hand towels provided before meal. It was such a thoughtful touch. Keep in mind that this is a 7-course tasting menu with a fixed price. During our visit, it was €90 per person (wine not included), complimented by several thoughtful extras, including a delightful amuse - bouche, warm in-house breads & butter and other small surprises. In our view, it was excellent value for the quality of the food, which was locally and seasonally sourced, showcasing the very best ingredients the region has to offer. The owners, chef Robbie and his wife Sophie also maintain their own garden from which many ingredients are harvested. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates gourmet dining.
