Journey

Not enough words to express how wonderful our experience at Journey was. Our own literal journey to the restaurant did not go to plan. My wife and I were involved in a car crash on the way down to Cheltenham on the night we were booked in. Jeff was so kind on the phone when my wife called up, making sure she was ok, and reassuring us that we’d be welcome whenever we managed to get to them. We did make it eventually and were welcomed like celebrities! Obviously we were gutted to only have caught 3 of the courses but Jeff managed to book us in the next day at the chef’s table so that we didn’t miss out. Honestly, to experience such warmth and kindness after such a shocking experience was so overwhelming. We did go back the next day and the full experience was just out of this world. The love, care and attention to detail that went into each dish was second to none and showed Jeff’s genuine passion for food, travel and the life experiences. Alongside this, Kenni’s wine sourcing genius was perfect – we learnt so much about wines and the places they came from during our tableside chats with her. All through the evening the staff were knowledgeable, attentive and seemed genuinely thrilled to be there. The quality of the food and service was absolutely second to none, but on top of this, as human beings, these guys are worth their weight in gold. Thank you so much Jeff, Kenni and the team.
