Hoddington Arms

A wonderful Sunday lunch in a gorgeous setting. We didn't stay so can't comment on the rooms. We ordered cod goujons and mushroom soup with Welsh rarebit to start. The soup was rich and delicious - incredibly thick and hearty. The goujons were a little under seasoned but the dressed salad was delightful, fresh, crunchy and delicious. For mains, we had roast beef, roast pork and shared a side of stuffing & pork balls with crackling crumb. We both agreed the stuffing balls weren't much cop. We didn't enjoy their texture or flavour but enjoyed the texture of the crumb topping. The beef was tender, served pink, well rested. Veggies were butter and delicious. Pork came with a stunning crispy spiral disk of cracking. I could eat buckets of that stuff 🤤. Really tender succulent pork and rich deep gravy. The toasties were a little squeaky but that is honestly nit picking. I can't wait to return for another delicious meal
