Arroz

We decided to check out the newly opened Arroz restaurant in Jersey. Having been to Spain many times, we were curious to see how authentic the food would be. Staff were very friendly, that’s definitely a big plus. It feels like a spot with good potential. The tapas were quite tasty and fresh. Small disappointment was the paella with chicken and rabbit (£44). It looked very different from a traditional Spanish paella We got mostly rice with just a few pieces of meat. The taste was dominated by rice, lacking the rich flavors and depth we usually associate with authentic paella. Honestly, just type “paella” into Google and you’ll see the difference — Spanish paellas are much more generous and flavorful
