It is a lovely, comfortable, unpretentious country house hotel in a very tranquil setting. Spacious room, fantastic views of the Abbey and the river Tweed, very friendly and helpful staff, relaxing and quiet place. I found it hard to believe that it was only *** stars, I've stayed at **** star places in the UK that could learn a lot from them.
