Watched the waiter taking drinks and food orders . He Served a number of customers who came in after us and even took a order of drins for someone they sat down instant , 20 minutes later walked up to him and stated you need to be more observant 20min sat waiting and tried to get his attentions . He never apologised and his side kick just gave a cheeky smile . They need a good rocket Uk there backside and learn some manners Won’t be going there again and been going for 18 years on and off .

Opened in 2013 in central York, The Star Inn The City is a sister venue of the well-established and Michelin-starred Yorkshire pub The Star Inn, where I'd enjoyed a very good meal in the not too distant past. Although I wasn't expecting food quite at that level, as a holder of both an AA Rosette and a Michelin Plate, I was reasonably expectant of a good quality meal as I visited for lunch with my wife, young daughter and baby son on a drizzly October Saturday....
