The Scallop Shell restaurant reviews

Average rating: 4.7
We’re visiting Bath for the Russell Howard show and randomly picked this restaurant as we fancied some fish - what a brilliant choice it turned out to be!
We ordered the haddock and chips, and it was beautifully presented. The fish was big and flaky, perfectly cooked, and for the first time in a long time I actually ate all the batter - it was that good. Light, crisp, and absolutely spot on.
The chips were proper chunky chips, cooked just right, and the mushy peas was amazing! Usually mushy peas tastes a bit bland, but this was packed with flavour - so much flavour! Really stood out.
Even the bathroom deserves a mention - not only was it squeaky clean, but it had fish wallpaper, which was such a fun and cool touch.
Great atmosphere, good choice of music and not too loud.
Staff very polite and friendly.
Very impressed overall and would happily come back again! 🐟🍟
