We stayed, just for one night. The room was large, well appointed as was the shower. The real star here is the restaurant. Food is served up in the, shall we say artsy style favoured by gastro pubs these days. We had the lamb rump, no starters, but did share a cheese board after. Staff were quietly efficient, well timed with their interventions. Partner and I agreed that the lamb. Which arrived on a bed of mash with roast squash, was the finest we had ever eaten. Honest, it was sublime and perfectly cooked. Breakfast was also damn fine. This us a lovely place!!
