The Farmer's Dog

The Farmer's Dog restaurant reviews

Average rating: 4.8
Had a fantastic meal on Tuesday evening. We had booked in advance but ended up being about 45 minutes early. Happily, and somewhat unexpectedly, we were able to get seated right away. This place definitely served up what it promises, good local/british produce, carefully created with taste and quality in mind. We had main courses and dessert, washed down with a pint of Hawkstone beer. They automatically add a 12.5% service charge which our server made very clear to us when bringing the bill and I appreciated the openess. We were told it wasn't obligatory and we were free to remove it if we wished. Both the service and food were great so we felt happy to pay it but I did feel there would be no drama had we decided not to.
Worth the £103.50 bill? Absolutely. All round great experience, would return.
