The Black Boy restaurant reviews

Average rating: 4.2
Seems like it has closed down. Shutters are down, menus have been removed from the outside.
Not a huge surprise, it never seemed very busy. Hard to put your finger on exactly why: although the food was OK the menu was a bit eclectic (not to mention expensive), and the range of drinks was a little narrow. A lot of people said the food used to be much better until towards the end of last year, perhaps a change of chef?
They re-branded a while ago to look a bit more trendy and it was completely out of keeping with the rustic, cosy local area. I can see part of the sign has already fallen off and lies in pieces on the pavement.
