The Anchor restaurant reviews

Average rating: 4.4
The food tasted excellent, especially the pork belly - melt in the mouth delicious. Every dish was delicious except the beetroot tart was a little bland.
However, a couple of small details put me off:
1. On the way to the toilet you pass the kitchen and I saw one of the staff sitting on the kitchen countertop scrolling on their phone.
2. Lemongrass tea arrived in a teapot that would not pour, when I checked I found the spout blocked full of old mint leaves, so it had not been cleaned properly. I informed the serving staff who shrugged and just removed the leaves.
Overall this experience suggests health and safety may be less of a priority and to be honest this puts me off visiting again. It’s really a pity as the food was very good.
