Taq

I was a customer at TAQ when they were known as Taqueria and I always enjoyed their food. Therefore, I was looking forward to visiting them again after their recent relaunch. I was pleased to find the food is even better with the same very good customer service. I placed a reservation in advance and corresponded with Nadine who was very helpful and made sure I had a table where I would be comfortable (I use a crutch to walk). All the staff who served me during my meal were friendly and professional. In particular, the young lady with glasses who took my order gave me advice on which order to have different dishes. This was really appreciated. I had the following dishes for my meal: · Chorizo Quesadilla · Tuna Tostada · Dove Taco · Chicken Torta · Churros I did not regret any of my choices as they were all delicious. Everything was well-cooked and full of flavour and although this is only a minor concern for me, well-presented on the plate. I am sure many will want to try the Dove Taco (it is very good) but the highlight for me was the Chicken Torta. It was so good that I told the manager when I was leaving to please pass on my thanks to the chef. It was honestly one of the best things I have eaten in a while. The restaurant was very busy by the time I was leaving but I did not feel rushed to finish my meal and the servers only approached me when I had finished eating. I do recommend making a reservation if possible. I am really pleased that TAQ (Taqueria) is still in business and the changes they have made are most welcome. I recommend a visit if you fancy excellent Mexican food with variations on some classic dishes. I will definitely be returning in the near future.
