Very pleasant and technically skilled cooking overall, with a few stand‑out moments. A couple of the tasting menu dishes were genuinely excellent, and the bread and butter in particular was outstanding. However, not everything lived up to the standard you’d expect. The duck was very ordinary and lacked the depth or precision you’d anticipate at this level, and one of the desserts also fell short. At just over £200 per head (included drinks), the experience should feel consistently memorable, and a few elements didn’t quite reach that mark. I also felt the drink recommendations were a little pushy, which took away from what should have been a more relaxed service. On top of that, there were too many interruptions from the staff, even though they were all genuinely lovely and well‑intentioned. And please; skip the gold on the food. It doesn’t elevate the dish and ends up looking more tacky than luxurious. Overall, it’s worth visiting to experience a menu like this.
