I’ve just had the most amazing lunch here with my husband for his birthday. We started off with the most incredible popadoms with homemade chutneys, could not stop nibbling them. We had then had the set lunch menu, I had the tempura prawns in sweet chili sauce to start and they were divine, but be careful the portion was very large and I felt full already (too delicious to leave any!) Hubby had the sheik kebab which was also large and beautifully delicious. Mains were butter chicken (utterly delightful, melt in your mouth chicken with silky not too creamy sauce) Rogan josh (made a bit more spicy for hubby at his request) we added a bread basket of garlic and peshwari naan…wonderfully crispy yet soft enough for scooping sauce. For pudding we had chocolate mouse and Kulfi, oh… my …. Goodness! I’m not a pudding person but I scoffed the whole mouse and half the kulfi. The mouse looked so pretty, it was firm but light and the right amount of chocolate. The kulfi was the single most amazing thing I’ve ever tasted, I don’t know what was on it but it was a burst of flavours slightly creamy gorgeously balanced fruits and fruity seeds. Wow!! Because it was my husbands birthday, the lovely friendly waiter brought out a desert with a candle, how nice is that? Can’t wait to come back!!
