I came here to treat my mum for her birthday & she really enjoyed herself. This is a new & modern restaurant set right on the water in Sandbanks & only seconds from the beach. When we arrived there was nobody at the reception desk but the lady did rush back to greet us after a minute or so & was very friendly before walking us to the area we would be sitting. They have two sections to this place & I would recommend sitting on the 'upper level' so you get a view out to the water - the first section (where you first walk in) seems like somewhere you have a drink & for more of a quick/quiet visit. The service was good (albeit a tad bit underwhelming - sometimes I find waiters who are 'more experienced' can feel a bit lacking of energy/enthusiasm) the ambience was excellent & we felt very relaxed. All courses were tasty but the main course stood out to me the most. This was the cod curry, which just melted in your mouth. The sauce it sat in was something you could drink all on it's own. The starter was homemade bread with dips & the dessert was vanilla ice-cream with warmed chocolate fudge brownie & a caramel sauce. The food was nothing short of delicious. They even brought over an extra dessert with a 'Happy Birthday' for my mum - very much appreciated! As you can probably imagine the prices were expensive. We had the three course set lunch menu at £25 per head (not including wine) but we did opt for a delicious white wine from Chile, which was £11 per half glass, so in total was just over £70 for the two of us. I did really enjoy myself & I would have no hesitation in returning but it is (in my opinion) a place you visit for an occasion & not a casual lunch/dinner out here and there.
