Pennan Inn

Starters - had the scallops for £16.50. Once they arrived I only got 3 on a bed of pureed Sweetcorn. The puree was nice but overpowered the scallops. The scallops alone were mediocre, we've had better elsewhere for less. The mushroom Gnocci was potato gnocchi in a lovely cheese sauce and we failed to taste the mushroom. Mains - the monkfish was lovely, cooked to perfection and seasoned well. The halibut was also lovely, cooked and seasoned well but it was lacking any jus. Overall this is a nice pub and location but we feel it is overpriced and you are paying for the location.
