Lewtrenchard is a Devon Manor and hotel steeped in history, quality and class. We visited as a couple in February 2020 in the aftermath of storm Dennis and spent a very cosy, comfortable couple of nights in the Prince Rupert room with it's Jacobite history and furnishings - lovely. Gourmet dining in a beautifully atmospheric dining room was a pleasure and our hosts were kind enough to provide some additional menu choices at very short notice. Big tick. This is a hotel where quality counts at every level. Set in it's own quiet grounds with meadow and stream this is definitely a place to relax and forget about the every day routine. As a base for exploring Dartmoor and Devon the location is ideal, so with fantastic accommodation and good access we will definitely be returning in the not too distant future.
