Kin Khao Thai

I went there with a couple of friends to celebrate a birthday, and we brought some small traditional birthday sweets to eat after the main course. While we were already eating them and waiting for the coffee, one of the waiters came over and told us we couldn’t bring food from outside the restaurant. I was kind of okay with that, although got to say that this was the first time I experienced this situation in town. The restaurant should warn costumers about this in advance, the same way they do for the service charge (which is charged for groups of more than 6 people, which doesn't make sense to me, since larger groups represent more profit for the restaurant), the booking rules, and the dress code (not that I care about that, but it’s clearly not followed). About the food, can’t say it’s bad at all, but it’s definitely overpriced compared to other places in Athlone with same quality and meal sizes. Fair play to the other waiter who took all our orders. He was very friendly and nice.
