Eline

i’ve been to eline numerous times and have generally always enjoyed it but this time our meal was genuinely ruined by the number of flies in the restaurant! as a table of four we each ordered the tasting menu but the sheer number of flies that flew into our food meant that we only got to enjoy half of the dishes (flies flew into my bread, my scallop dish, my beef tartare and my fish dish). the staff seemed apologetic but in the end it felt like we just had to put up with it really. it made the meal quite uncomfortable as it meant we either had to rush through each course before the flies got to the food or just give up and let the flies have at it. a real shame as i do like eline but i won’t be going back until the fly situation is sorted (i have seen one or two in there before but it’s gotten a lot worse since our last visit)
